The Full Story: A Family of Five with Love to Spare
Photographing families is always an honour, but when it involves little ones—especially twin babies and a toddler—it becomes a truly joyful challenge. This family session with the Kritzingers was filled with all the elements that make for timeless, emotional images: golden light, natural styling, a scenic location, and the love of a family just entering a beautiful new chapter.
The Setting: Loch Lynne’s Scenic Surroundings
Located in the Durbanville Wine Valley, Loch Lynne Wine Estate offers a stunning blend of elegance and nature. We chose to shoot just outside the estate’s main buildings where open fields and vineyard views provided space for the little ones to move and for the family to simply enjoy being together.
The soft late afternoon light added warmth and a touch of magic to the session, enhancing the natural tones of their clothing and the earthy backdrop.
A Little About the Family
Andre and Danielle Kritzinger are proud parents of three beautiful boys—their energetic toddler and two new baby twins. Andre Kirtzinger is a well known figure in the Durbanville area, Managing Director of Realtors Group specialising in Property Sales & Development. From the very start, this session was about capturing their reality with grace: the giggles, the cuddles, the balancing act, and the small pauses in between.
Their toddler brought the energy and curiosity, while the twins—calm and expressive—added their own kind of quiet charm. It was so special to capture both the chaos and the calm that makes family life so authentic.
Styling: Soft, Classic, and Timeless
The Kritzinger family styled their session in beautifully coordinated neutral tones. The men—Andre and his sons—wore classic denim shirts, bringing a soft, casual unity to the shoot. Danielle complemented the look perfectly with a crisp white blouse, which popped softly against the natural surroundings.
